Terms of Use

Effective 20 August 2026 · Meiotic, Inc.

The short version

Your recordings are yours. The app is ours. Recording other people is your responsibility, and the notes it writes are a draft, not a court record.

The rest of this page says the same thing in the language a contract needs. Nothing below is meant to surprise you.

1. Who this agreement is with

vabletNotes is published by Meiotic, Inc., 14252 Culver Drive, Suite 141A, Irvine, CA 92604 ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, delete the app.

These terms replace Apple's standard licence agreement for this app.

2. What you may do with the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use vabletNotes on Apple devices you own or control, in line with Apple's App Store terms. You may use it for your own work, including commercial work.

You may not resell the app, rent it out, reverse-engineer it except where the law says you may, or use it to break the law.

3. Your content stays yours

Recordings, transcripts, notes, contacts and everything else you create in vabletNotes belong to you. We claim no licence over them, no ownership of them, and no right to use them.

We do not receive them. There is no account, no server of ours, and no copy held anywhere by us. If your device is lost or wiped without a backup, we cannot recover anything, because we never had it.

4. Recording other people is your responsibility

This is the part worth reading twice.

Laws about recording conversations differ by country and by state. Several U.S. states require the consent of every participant, not just yours. Other countries impose stricter rules again, and recording a healthcare professional, a public official or a minor may carry additional obligations.

You are responsible for knowing the law where you are and for telling the people in the room. We provide a tool; the decision to press record is yours, and so is the consequence.

5. What the notes are, and are not

vabletNotes uses speech recognition and on-device language models. Both make mistakes. A transcript may mishear a word, a name or a number, and a generated summary may miss something or emphasise the wrong thing.

Treat the output as a first draft written by software. Read it before you rely on it, and read it twice before you send it to a customer. Do not use it as a medical, legal, financial or regulatory record without checking it yourself.

Translation is a translation of a transcription: two steps, each of which can be wrong. Take extra care before repeating a translated statement back to a customer.

6. Sending things

The app never sends an email on your behalf. It writes the message, addresses it and opens it; a person presses send. Once you do, the message travels through your own email provider to the people you addressed it to, and what happens to it there is between you and them.

The same applies to calendar entries, exports and anything you share.

7. Subscriptions

vabletNotes is free to use. vabletNotes Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription:

PlanPriceRenews
Pro Monthly$7.99 USDEvery month
Pro Annual$59.99 USDEvery year

Prices shown in the app come from Apple and are correct for your country and currency. The prices above are the United States prices.

Apple handles the payment. We never see your card details. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms; we have no ability to issue one.

8. What happens if you stop paying

You return to the free tier. Nothing you created is deleted. Meetings, notes, contacts, attachments and history all stay on your device, and everything the free tier does keeps working. Only the Pro views close. Subscribe again and they open on the history that accumulated while you were away.

9. Changes to the app

We will keep improving vabletNotes, which means features may change. If we ever move a capability between the free and paid tiers, we will say so in the release notes rather than letting you discover it.

10. No warranty

vabletNotes is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we do not warrant the accuracy of any transcript, summary or translation it produces. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, in which case this paragraph applies to the extent the law permits.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Meiotic, Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business or lost data, arising from your use of vabletNotes. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Your responsibility for how you use it

You agree to indemnify Meiotic, Inc. against claims arising from your use of the app in breach of these terms or of the law — including claims relating to recording a conversation without the consent the law required.

13. Ending this agreement

You may end it at any time by deleting the app. We may end it if you breach these terms. Sections 3, 4, 10, 11 and 12 survive.

14. Apple

Apple is not a party to this agreement and has no responsibility for the app. Apple has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Orange County, California have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law of your own country gives you the right to bring a claim there.
